Physics Research at Warwick

 

  • Star formation

    The Rosette Nebula, a region of star formation with molecular gas and dust, lit up by its young stars. The image is part the first detailed map of the galactic plane, in which Warwick astronomers are involved.

  • Exotic quantum states

    The growth of high-quality crystals of magnetic and superconducting materials allows us to study exotic electronic and magnetic states.

  • Quantum technology

    Measuring the fluorescence from single nitrogen-vacancy colour centres in diamond lets us study single spins for quantum technology.

  • Semiconductors

    Probing nanoscale devices on a strained silicon wafer.
